DIY Mother's Day Gift // Kitchen Theme

Oh right! Mother's Day is this weekend....

         oops

Don't worry. I've got you covered.  ;)

Here is super simple yet personalized gift for your one and only mother.

DIY Mother's Day Gift // Kitchen Themed

(As usual, I was inspired by Pinterest.)

Materials:
carboard or stencil
tape
sissors
paint & paint brush
canvas

Steps:

1. Cut out carboard in desired shape (or use stencil)

If you are doing one just like I did, cut out a grater. An easy way to make the holes is to use a hole    puncher.

You can also make different kitchen tools depending on the pun
you want to use. My friend was making a tea kettle..

 2. Tape the cardboard to the canvas so it won't budge when you paint.

3. Paint over the stencil/cardboard.

 4. Let dry and peel off the stencil.
Some paint may have gotten through or on the edges like this:
To fix it, wait til the paint is completely dry (so the white won't mix with it), and then paint over  the smudges.

5. Finish by writing whatever phrase or pun you want. I wrote "Be Grateful."

            hahaha...

                                get it?

                                                                 "grate"ful... because it's a grater

 hehe

After it dries, you're all finished!
And your mom will love it.  :)

Happy Mother's Day <3
