DO's and DON'Ts for Vaseline

Have some vaseline and don't know what to do with it? This post is for you!

I understand that this post is not craft or diy related. It's honestly not related to anything I usually post, but I still think this post will be helpful. So here it is!

DO:

1. Tame Brows. Dab a little bit on your finger and apply it to your brows for tame hairs and a shiny finish.

3. Apply before perfume. Rub some on your skin and then spray your perfume in that same spot for longer lasting fragrance.

4. Mess free mani or pedi. Wherever you don't want nail polish on your skin, rub vaseline on that spot.

5. Remove makeup stains. Use a damp wash-clothe and vaseline to get rid of the stain.

6. Polish shoes. I use this trick all th
e time for scuffed shoes! It gives it a great shine.

7. Eye makeup remover.

8. Help get earrings in. Having trouble putting your earring in? Rub some vaseline on your ear lobe.

9. Slip off stuck rings.

10. Apply to nail polish bottles to stop them from getting stuck and not opening again.

DON'T:

1. Do not use on new tattoos.

2. Do not apply to burns or cuts.

3. Do not apply on face (acne). Vaseline clogs and suffocates the pores! It may seem that vaseline moisturizes the face, but it only softens and minimizes chaffing! I have seen so many people recomending using vaseline as a moisturizer. Unfortunently, this is a HUGE misunderstanding! DO NOT USE VASELINE ON YOUR FACE. My 5th grade brother did this and he had a break out. He had pimples on his face and he was only 10!

4. Do not use as moisturizer. Vaseline only locks in moisture and suffocates yours skin. It will not moisturize your skin. On the contrary, you will see the same effect you do as on your face (above).

5. Do not use as anti-fungal cream. Vaseline only locks in moisture and makes it worse, use coconut oil instead.

Hope that was helpful!
