Craft: Hot Glue Snowflakes

Ok, so I know Christmas is over, but it's still snowing where I live. So I decided to do one more winter themed post.

Of course, I was inspired by Pinterest :)

Materials:
  • parchment paper
  • (pen or marker) cap
  • hot glue gun
  • glue for the gun
  • optional: glitter
  • optional: pencil
There are two ways to do this craft:

I will show you step by step the first way.

You can find instructions for the second way here.

Steps:

1. Lay out parchment paper (I suggest taping it down).

2. Optional: Draw out snowflake shape with pencil.

3. Trace shape with hot glue gun.

There are two ways to finish the snowflake...

Way one:

1.  With the glue, make a glob/circle. In the middle of the circle, Press down the pen cap to make a smaller hole.

2. After the glue dries, remove the cap and carefully peel off the glue snowflake. Tie the ribbon through the hole to hang the snowflake.

Way two:

1. With the glue, make a glob/circle. In the circle, press down the ribbon in the glue and glue over the circle. Hang the snowflake.

Optional: Before the glue dries, carefully sprinkle some glitter on it to add a sparkly touch.   :)

Remember, it's ok if you mess up and ur snowflake looks like this one in the picture below. Just keep trying! You can do it :)

Final Product:

Sorry, they aren't the best pictures. It's tricky to take pictures with windows as the background, and I'm still learning.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading!
