Independence Day Food Series // Fruit Cups

FRUIT (& cookie) CUPS 

Don't they look DELICIOUS?!


Whipped cream (see homemade recipe below*)
Mint leaves
Bittersweet chocolate
 optional: Swedish almond cookies
Fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)







homemade whipped cream:
whipping cream - 1 pint
powdered sugar - 2 tbsp to taste
vanilla extract - 1 tsp
 






 instructions:
layer fruit and whipped cream
grate chocolate on top
app cookie and mint leaves

4th of July / Food Plan


The 4th of July is tomorrow, but I haven't made any of these food items yet because they're all make-the-day-of snacks and treats.

Although I don't have them ready... I still needed to show ya'll my plan so I could help you plan.
So here is my 4th of July Food Plan...

(Dinner: Cornell Chicken)


Appetizer: Snack:
Blue chips (can't find them? neither could we. 
..after 3 other stores we found some at Target)
Red peppers
hommous



 Dessert 1: Lunch Dessert: 
Whip Cream
Strawberries & Raspberries
I'm planning to add chocolate shavings and a mint leaf to the top
/ layer fruit and cream in cup for a light refreshing treat /




Dessert 2: Dinner Dessert:
melted white chocolate
red white & blue sprinkles
ice-cream sugar cones
/ dip cones in chocolate, then roll in sprinkles, chill in fridge /

Materials:
magazines / printed paper / photos
acrylic paint and brushes
masking tape
canvas
scissors
glue and/or Mod Podge


 Directions:
 
1. Choose photos/patterns/prints.

2. Section of parts in desired shapes, lengths, widths and numbers. Tape off those sections. You will have to do one at a time because tape for one part will be covering the canvas for another part.

3. Paint.

4. Cut of photos in necessary shapes to fit.

5. Glue/Mod Podge down paper.

6. Let dry.
